  • Die EU legt sich immer öfter mit Google, YouTube & Co. an – wie zuletzt bei der Copyright-Reform. Doch wie sieht es mit eigenen Projekten im Internet aus, etwa dem “digitalen Binnenmarkt”? Nicht so doll. Eine vorläufige Bilanz.
  • Weniger Europa ist keine Option für die Parteien im linken Spektrum. Das gilt auch für die europapolitisch zerrissen erscheinende Linkspartei. Auch und gerade weil sie unterschiedliche Milieus adressiert: Die Rechte der Arbeit gegen die Drinnen-Draußen-Logik zu stärken, das wäre ein Rezept.
  • Der Kurdenführer ist seit 1999 auf einer türkischen Insel inhaftiert. Es gibt so gut wie keinen Kontakt zum Gründer der PKK. Dennoch reicht sein Einfluss weit.
  • In weniger als 100 Tagen finden die Wahlen zum Europäischen Parlament statt. Es werden die wichtigsten Europawahlen werden, seitdem die EU-Parlamentarier zum ersten Mal am 11. Juni 1979 über eine Direktwahl bestimmt wurden.
  • Deutschland legt bekanntlich großen Wert auf die Einhaltung der EU-Regeln. Nur wenn es um die deutsche Wirtschaft geht, dann drückt Kanzlerin Merkel schon mal ein Auge zu.

  • Die EU-Kommission zeigt sich hart: Die neue Schwarze Liste der Geldwäsche-Staaten soll nach SPIEGEL-Informationen auch Panama und Saudi-Arabien aufführen. Deutschland wollte das verhindern.
